Networking

 

Networking is the most effective way to get a new job. If you don't have a network in Switzerland, use your network whereever it is to get in touch with Swiss executives.

 

Basically you shouldn't call executives and just ask for a new job. Please don't send an unsolicited application to different employers. Your networking has to be smooth and pinpoint the right level. The objective is to get in front of executives that could hire you directly. This is the challenge for most of the candiates, since most of the people have a pretty good network on peer and on lower levels. Now use your lower level contacts to get in touch with senior executives. Don't use peer level. They are afraid of you and will not open doors for you.
